What is a Virtual Power Plant?
A Virtual Power Plant (VPP) is a network of individual power sources (like a home with solar batteries) that the grid can draw power from, much like a traditional power plant. If your battery is connected to a VPP, your battery is charged through solar panels during the day or bought at a cheap price from the grid. At night, or during any high demand periods, the VPP provider can then take unused energy from your battery and sell it back to the grid at a higher price.
